Our EC program supports children and their families as they transition to school through an individualized program to meet each child’s unique needs. The program is supported by speech, occupational, and physical therapists, as well as a social worker and school psychologist. This group works as a collaborative team to provide a language rich environment where children are encouraged and supported as they form positive social relationships, develop fine and gross motor skills, and build independence in the school setting. Through structured routine, small group activities and a variety of play centers, all children are actively engaged in building the foundation for early learning skills.
Our Pre-K program provides our most at-risk students a general education preschool experience. Our Pre-K classrooms provide a well-organized and managed environment with multiple learning centers that stimulate children’s thinking skills through exploration and discovery. This engaging learning environment focuses on building academic, emotional, physical and social skills. Social emotional development plays a significant role in our Pre-K classrooms. Focusing on social emotional development is
critical to building positive social interaction skills, which is a major predictor of school success.
